Reface Existing Cabinets

Want to update your kitchen and improve the value of your home, but a full remodel is out of budget? Refinishing, refacing, or applying new cabinet doors is the perfect alternative.

Reface

The best way to reface your cabinets would be to refinish your existing cabinets and replace the cabinet doors. Fisher Lumber Company owns and operates our own custom woodworking shop. We can custom build cabinet doors to fit any opening, and we can even match your existing doors. No order is too large or small. We can even replace just the one door in the kitchen that the kids use as a makeshift ladder.

Change the Look

There are different ways to change the look of your cabinets. There are self-adhesive veneers, paint, distressing, and do-it-yourself kits available. Adhesives have improved tremendously in the last few years, but really, all you are doing is covering the problem in an area that has the most heat and moisture…the kitchen. So adhesives make a quick fix, but it’s usually temporary. You can also simply replace the worn doors and refinish the cabinet boxes. Before you get started, call us for ideas.

Let Us Guide You

Call us so we can give you the measurements you need to start your project. The most important measurement is the opening of each door. Measure width first, then height. By giving us the measurements in this order, we can build the door to your exact specifications. New “concealed” hinges will replace your old hardware and we will size the doors to overlap the door opening. We also build drawer fronts to reface your base cabinets that have drawers. It’s as easy as that!

In Stock

We stock many species of wood — oak, soft maple, cherry, poplar, knotty alder, and pine, just to name a few. If we don’t have what you’re looking for, we will do our best to find it. Special orders are what we do best! Our shop equipment is top-grade commercial equipment to produce a quality product. The only part we do not do is the finish work (painting or staining). However, we do know many skilled carpenters and painters in our area who can do finish work or the whole build.

Apply

Once you have sanded and finished the cabinet boxes, apply the cabinet doors. The hinges we use are adjustable for both directions to give an even fit. Apply any knobs or pulls, and your project is complete!
